That's it. I've had it with this dump!

We've got no jobs, we got no food, our pets HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!

I've got to do somethin about the carpeted W.C.'s 'round here. Particularly the main floor. You know, the one other people actually see? I worked real hard on that bathroom, man. Hard. And all I can see when I walk in there is dirty carpet.

I'm taking matters into my own hands.

Let me make you privy to a little conversation prior to bedtime last night.

Me: "Um so how do you remove a toilet then?"
Jeff (Eyeroll. Sigh.) : " I knew this was going to become my project."

Is that a,

Is that a challenge?

Well take that, sucka.

The Thunder Mug's now out in the hallway. I did that all.by.myself.

Hey now! I'm right here! I can hear you! No I don't think it's a great addition to the hallway. I woulda dragged it out on to the front porch if I was strong enough.

Sat on it around 5:00 pm.

Waved to the neighbors.

And so forth.

And look!

Subfloor. Subfloor!

It smelled so bad, man. I need a hug. After I shower, of course.

Oh my stars, you're my hero! And maybe the funniest person I know! That is NOT a challenge I would have gone for, except MAYBE in a life-or death situation. No, wait. Carpet in the bathroom would probably put me over that edge, too.

Hey, Glad you tackled that one! Holy Cow...it would have been the first thing to go for me....just think...it'll be awesome in a few days when you're finished...now the fun part...have you picked your tile?

You rock. You moved the toilet? Seriously? I think that's ridiculously cool. Go you! Can't wait to see the final project. (Also, loved the post below. You obviously get your figure-out-how-to-do-it-and-get-it-done mentality from your dad. You're both cool.)

Holy crow, woman! First of all, go you!! You are so super handy! And second, the "thunder mug" has got to be the funniest toilet euphemism I've ever heard. I gotta go tell that one to Cliff.

HUGS to you!

You did it!! I thought you were nuts when you told me you were gonna try it cuz I've seen my husband hauling those things around when we've done similar projects recently and they are H-E-A-V-Y! Apparently all that workin' out you've been doing is paying off! You're my hero.

Don't call your house a dump. What does that make my house?

Mandi, Mom and I are in a place called Meteora, Greece, at 7am-ish laughing ourselves to tears with the "thunder mug" comments. What a way to start the day. Good luck with the floor. We can't wait to see what you come up with and what comments you will have about it. You made our day!

I've been threatening taking out the carpeting in our family room for 2 years now...because of years of dog duties that...let's just say it was mega nasty! Last Friday the deed was done...YEA...and now that project has turned into multiple projects...painting, flooring, etc, etc, etc...

Another dumb and dumber quote! You make me so happy! I know were complete strangers but i have a wet saw and lots of tiling experience (I've done 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and dining room) and would totally come help if we live anywhere close to each other? I just realized I have NO idea where you are in the world. But I'm guessing not close! Good luck. It's totally worth it. And a good wetsaw at Home Depot? Not to much money, especially if your going to do more than one room. My tile guy at Home Depot totally talked me into it and I'm glad he did (they also teach a class there on tiling that had some great tips!)
