I'm Not That Kind A Girl.

Today,

because I am sitting here impatiently waiting for hair dye to fix my one-inch roots,

and because I'll be working my A off today finishing up the project I am so excited about that my intestines just turned to liquid just thinking about it. . .

I'm back from the bathroom. Do NOT go in there. WOOO!

Anywho, I want to tell ya a couple things.

First?

My partner for Crafting With The Stars.

Amy. Amy: love ya.

She's a pro photog.

Beautiful photography, people.

She's a gardener.

She's a foodie.

And finally, she's a DIY-er, and she's fabulous.

She made it on Season 3 with her beatiful wreath:

and sadly, although we didn't make it past Round 1: "Knock-Off",

with her Executive Chest Ballard Designs knockoff,

she's still fabulous. Amy: Mouah.

And finally, to make a long post short, (TOO LATE)

I want you to know, that I'm not that kind a girl.

I mean, I don't do giveaways. Usually. Mostly. I pass them by. I da know why. I don't have anything against them. I guess I just have a lot to say with no other time apparently.

BUT--

Ev.er.y.time. a Ramsign giveaway comes up, I enter. BECAUSE I WANT ONE.

There's just somezing so European about zees signs, no?

I know, right?

So for a chance to win the ONE OF YOUR CHOICE, I'm gonna make this easy.

Leave me a comment telling me why you love me.

I love an easy-peasy give away! Well done, lady... well done. Also, what darling signs. I wish I had a darling address to match. 300 west just doesn't sound as cute as Honeysuckle Lane or something equally magical. Oh wellsies.

I know you were kidding, but I do love you because your blog cracks me up. If the world was a smaller place, I think we'd be friends.

My favorite Halloween costume is from one of my tall slim guy friends. He showed up with painted cardboard attached to him in seemingly random places. When asked what he was, he'd curl into a tiny ball and turn into a car. It was awesome. Half of the awesome-ness was seeing him have to curl into a ball all night long. It was good times. There's also that time when my friend Becky dressed as Elvis and I was Priscilla. That was just kinda weirdly funny though. :)

one year I wore a grey shirt that i glued cotton to and decorated a waterbottle with cotton as well, and when people asked what I was I told them i was cloudy with a chance of rain (and squirted them with the water bottle) was probably the funnest halloween costumes EVER! because I got to shoot people with water all day! ha!

A fallen angel.....pregnant and my halo all askew.....I still laugh thinking about stopping to ask directions in that costume with one of my bfs as roadkill beside me!
Awesome giveaway. If ever there was a great giveaway to host, this'd be it!!! Thanks man.

best costume...hmmmm, so many to choose from. I liked my Alien Abduction costume I did for my youngest many years back, as well as the robot costume I did for my middle son, but I might be a wee bit biased. You can check out the awesomesauce here http://froufrugal.blogspot.com/2010/10/halloweens-past.html.

I sure hope I'm a nice comment giver, cause I'm pretty sure your blog is my favorite. ever. You are... my biggest fan. (sorry, I'm a movie quoter, too.. I think that's why I love your blog so much!!) Anyway, onto my favorite costume! I was at the D.I. browsing for something costumey a couple years ago, and found an amazing mumu. big, bright, striped. It was great. So my husband and I decided to go as Before/After weight loss pictures. I dressed up super fancy (about as fancy as I could), and he wore a horribly attractive blonde wig and the stuffed up mumu. I made before/after signs, and off we went. I just have to say, we were the hit of our Ward party ;) And the competition was fierce..

I'm going to say MINE when I went as a hockey player in college, it full-out hockey gear. I was the only person at the party who wasn't cold.

Love the signs and the movie reference :)

Hmmm cool Halloween costume? When I was 12 I did a half man/half woman costume (as in my right side was wearing a skirt, bows in my hair, makeup, etc., my left side was wearing trousers, a tie, etc...). I think that one was pretty cool!

Like Harmony I wish I had a good address, Sunhurst just doesn't cut it. We'll have to move I suppose.

Hallowe'en costume? Can't think of the coolest, but the lamest was mine. My 4th child was born Oct. 23 and so on Hallowe'en I went as a mother of a newborn--I wore her in the snuggly and actually was asked what my costume was!

Coolest costume - one of my girlfriends made her 4 year old son a Mr. Peanut costume, it was awesome, he even had the little eye spectacle and a cane, and when asked who he was he would strike the Mr. Peanut pose! Hi-larious!

Thanks for having such a great giveaway!!!

The funniest costume ever wasn't actually mine. Technically, it wasn't even a costume. My boyfriend was invited to a party, and we went out to dinner with another couple instead. At dinner my boyfriend and other guy we were there with started talking about this party that we were all invited to, so we decided to go after dinner. The guys didn't tell us, and we showed up not knowing it was a COSTUME party! The other girl that I showed up with happened to be about 7 months pregnant at that time, and as we were sitting there talking, another very drunk girl came over and sat down next to us and asked my friend how she made herself look like she was actually pregnant. It was hilarious!!

Best costume? A Priest and a pregnant Nun!! LOL!!!

love your blog! i always save your posts for last when i'm checking google reader - end on a high note. :) anyhoo, one of the best costumes i've seen was a guy at our student branch at purdue who came to the halloween party as moki (mahana's father) from 'johnny lingo.' seriously, it was amazing - this skinny white guy looked exactly like moki! the funniest costume i've made was from the year of living lazily, when i found a purple butterfly costume for $5 at old navy and covered up the wings and antennae with brown embellished parts and called my 16 month old boy a moth. even though the costume was still mostly purple, i'd loudly say, "see the brown wings? he's a MOTH!" own that laziness! great giveaway, by the way. :)

Last year, I saw a kid that it looked like a gorilla was holding a cage with a little boy in it. The kid wearing it had gorilla pants on & was the top of the boy.

And my address is on 180th street. At least the others have names & not numbers. But I still would love a sign.

mmm... halloween isn't huge over here like it is in the US but just today on someone's blog I saw a baby dressed as a lobster being carried around in a big silver pot by it's dad.

That was pretty funny/I really hope it's parents are sane people.

I'd love to win!

Kandice said...

Yep, pretty sure those signs are going on my IWANT pinboard. :-) Cutest Halloween costume? Hmmm, one that comes to mind I saw recently was a baby dressed up as a lobster and sitting in a big stainless steel pot. THAT was clever. :-)

Best Halloween costume ever: I made my brother a mullet, no not the hair. he had a suit in the front (business) and jeans and a beer shirt in back (party) It was amazing! I made him a brief case with 1/2 a case of beer on the back and we slicked his hair in front and spiked it in the back.

Love your blog. You are a hoot! And you are better looking than an owl. I'm glad you are doing a simple giveaway. I hate jumping thru hoops. Probably as I am too fat to jump. Anyhoo, hope I win as I would love one of these.

The coolest costume I've heard about was depicted in this cartoon: http://www.flickr.com/photos/docpopular/4063790568/sizes/o/

My favorite of the ones I've come up with was Zorro the Gay Blade. Except I couldn't find a whip. I was Rrred, like a rrrose. I even put on orange-tan make-up to try to look more like George Hamilton.

Thanks for the chance!

Well, you know where I live, but you can't have my social. I LOVE you because, well, you're loveable, hilarious, insanely talented and we have twinner hair do's, sans the fringe on mine. Oh...and my favoritest halloween costume was my oldest sons alien abduction. I thought Dylan and Landon's astronaut costumes were pretty tight, too. ;) There's your comment. Not that I'll win. Inever win. But I'm with you. I REALLY want one of these!!! ;)

I love those signs too! I enter every time I see one but sadly never win. Quite a while back when they asked me to host this giveaway, I was so excited that maybe I would get a sign for hosting...but no. I've given one away but never won it myself.

Sorry you and Amy didn't get past round one. You should have!

The year I met my husband, it was 1999. I went as a y2k computer program and he was a programmer, trying to debug me. My skirt was made of old computer data cards, and my bracelets were old mag tape reels. I love your writing style - love visiting your blog.

Love the sign. Seriously need one for my new house! My fave halloween costume was the year I went as Hugh Hefner and my husband was the Playmate of the Year. Everyone got a HUGE kick out of it-I think it was my 6'2" bunny with the GIANT boobies!

So first things first...heeeelarious. There are so many times I grab my husbands collar and force him to read your blog. He usually ends up saying humph..sounds like some of the same crap you do. Love your blog. Don't care that you don't do giveaways. Totally love that you painted your floor black cuz I am gonna have ta paint my whole house due to my greasy little punks! Totally turning around now... Favorite costume was when I dressed my punks up as the three stooges and spray painted my 4 yr olds toe-head stark black. Took a week to clear that up but totally worth it! P.s. there was a guy with a third nipple that went to high school with me...awesomeness just sayin.

Those signs are fabulous!!

Best halloween costume? Hershey Kiss. It was a kiddy pool, turned inside out so the silver bottom was showing. They attached a hula hoop to the bottom to keep the shape. The made the hat (silver) with the hershey kiss tag sticking up. super cute.

And I do love you... You make my projects seem so much... less... lol
