Oh ma gosh, oh ma gosh. . .
(fanning face with fingers)
I have so many people to thank. . . I don't even know where to start. I promised myself I wouldn't cry. . .
First, I wanna thank my mom and dad, for instilling creativity into me, both by nurture and in the gene pool,
thanks to my hubby, who when I first told him about this contest said, and I quote,
"Oh great. Well I'm here to help you in any way I can."
Oh yes. He did. (hysterical sobs)
I think watching my kids for 4 hours so I could finish up a project counts, don't you?? (sob snort)
To my awesome partner Cheri, for being one smokin' hot awesome advisor,
(black mascara-tears roll down cheeks)
To Mandi #2 for being my own personal cheerleader,
No, I love your guts, man!
(wipes away giant snot with back of hand)
To new friends during this process, including the dude at Home Depot who helped talk me through my math and measuring, and new friends I made during this whole thing (that means you, Kiki!),
and thank you, for voting. Even if you didn't vote for me. I forgive you. Sort of.
This all just comes as such a big surprise! Oh. . . I didn't mention what I was even talking about, did I?
The contest is over, man. And I was all prepared with my de-motivational posters.
I like this one, too.
But, miraculously, I'll be using this 'un today:
And in the words of my husband:
"It's all over. Now maybe we can finish the basement or something."
