The post that removes the poop pic off the top of my blog.

Forever ago, I discussed these little beauties I was gonna re-do:

50 points if you remember that.

So ya know what these are? It is an old french door, sawed right down the middle. Know where I got them?

From here:

The 'rents house. And dang it's disturbing what you can find on the net. This picture is 30 years old. Who took it? Why is it on the inter-web?

So these french doors-- they've seen some weather.

But you know that's how I like 'em, don't ya? Don't ya?

Anywho,

one day I saw zees.

Eet ees a pantry door. I sink eet ees sooo European, no?

And I got myself some ticking stripe fabric.

Removed the panes, (and the cut I incurred across my bicep is nearly healed now, thanks for asking)

added my fabric,
(many thanks to Tif for helping me sew the top up)

some of those totally awesome faux door knobs from the Hob Lob,

and now I don't know where to put 'em.

Honestly. Where?

Okay. Love ticking fabric and love what you did. I want that in my guest bedroom right this second. That way I can look at it before I sleep.

Yep that's right, we are having troubles with the measurements on fitting our new bed together so we are temporarily in the guest bedroom.

And I love the aquarium. My dad used to have one in the garage growing up and I used to like to scoop the fishes out and watch them wiggle around and then put them back in (sick I know), but one time one jumped out of the net and flopped under the aquarium and I couldn't get it. That was the end of my fish scooping days.

that is my problem! I see all of these amazing projects online but I have no where to display them so I don't even bother :( GO you for doing so much cool stuff I can only drool over!! :)

They look wonderful. I have no idea what you should do with them? Are you able to use them in your home as actual doors, like maybe to a pantry or closet? I'm kinda missing the poop pic.

Would they, um, fit your pantry? I vote that. Lovely job as usual. :)

Oh! How I have missed you!!! I'm still not back but yours was the first blog I HAD to check. Hope you are well and count on many more comments from me as I go back through your old posts to catch up on your life and projects.

They look fab!! Do you have anything that needs doors? They would make awesome closet doors! Why on earth is your parents' home online? Weird!

You can put them at my house! I have the perfect place for them here.

They would look great on either side of window (on the inside) or flanking a doorway. I like them leaning against the wall. Yeah, thanks for posting so that dooky picture is gone from my blog list (although it did make me crack a smile everytime I saw it.)

Too bad, Layne. I owe her too and am sooo glad I got to contribute to this little project, as meager as my part was. Mandi, just so ya know, we secretly fight for chances to help you. Loved the way they turned out!!!!!

What? You don't like them flanking the fish tank??

The answer is OBVIOUS.

Build a pantry and then use those!

Really. Do I have to think of EVERYTHING around here?

These are really cute, but I paniced when I saw the inspiration photo... If you had built an entire pantry in the time it took me to post once I'd have had to kill myself... lol

Those would be SO CUTE in your baby girls room to frame her bed or a dresser. And a cute, rustic berry wreath, hanging on a cute, rustic knob fro Hob Lob, in the middle of them would be DARLING, too!!!!

I love those! I have no doubt that you will find a great place in that darling home of yours. If you don't, I know somewhere I could put them...
