we thought this dress was ugly at the time. I think it might make a beautiful Christmas tree skirt, though.
So go try on your cheerleading/soccer/band/chess club/whatever uniform, would ya? Go pull out that old prom dress.

I will not be trying anything on...ha! But I still can't throw it out!
I still have all that stuff too (drill team uniforms for field and pep rallies, prom dresses, wedding dress) but I couldn't get a leg in it now. I was a stick the last couple of years in high school and now I'm a full tree. Kudos to you for still being able to wear all that. Plus, I would have to do way more to my hair since I graduated in the 80's (big, big hair decade). Fun post!

But I know about getting random stuff back from your parents. My mom gave me a whole box (and I mean a whole box, it's full) of my new kids stuff...I have everything!!

My mom was mean too! She passed all my stuff on to me, so I could store it. Now my daughter uses my cheerleading uniforms for halloween and when she has to dress up weird. Oh well, they were cool when I wore them. At least I thought so.

I saw no hips in those pictures baby! You're amazing. My mom too gave me a box of crap...only it was trophies, and home made cabbage patch dolls (now talk about dating myself)...the cabbage patch doll went straight to DI...why? I don't want it, neither did my girls...crazy.

YEAH..... There is no way in H*ll (really it's that bad I have to swear a bit) I could fit into ANY of those items! I kept an extra 10 lbs... with EACH kid (yup, adds up to 40). Nice of them to gift that to me (easier to blame them than exercise!) WAY TO GO!

WOW! I can't believe you still have your choir dress. Those were so ugly!! Remember the girls that had a little bit of a sweating problem and all the "velvet" was worn off in the pit area. On a side note, I can't believe that you can still fit into all of that. You are just as thin as you were in high school.
I still have softball sweatshirts from high school I wear from like, 8 years ago. People make fun of me, but I'm sorry, I'm not going to get rid of a perfectly good sweatshirt.
I wish my prom dresses were as amazing as that.

I too went to school in the 90's and had lots of the same stuff that you had. I don't think I could fit one let in my clothes now. Forget about the wedding dress. I had my kids try it on and took funny pictures of them when my mom finally kicked it out of her house. The boys in my dress and veil was the best!
Oh My! GOODNESS! I loved this post. I loved that you fit into everything! I wish I had some of those things left but I know I am a few sized larger than my 1980's self.

Kudos to you for fitting into those clothes! I, on the other hand, graduated HS in the early '80's, and have no HS clothes left to try on. About a year ago, I tried on my wedding dress, which I wore in 1987. Although it was a little bit snug, I was able to zipper it up, and my DDs had a blast taking pictures of me!
